“The University is respected, but Ole Miss is loved. The University gives a diploma and regretfully terminates tenure, but one never graduates from
Ole Miss.”
Well, with football season at Ole Miss swiftly approaching, I just have one question for y'all, "ARE YOU READYY!?!" Unless you’ve never been to an Ole Miss sporting event, you should already know the answer to that question. In 1890, no one would have thought that when Dr. A.L. Bondurant (you might recognize the same from all of those modern languages you’ve been taking in his building) encouraged the students to start some sort of Athletic Association for football, baseball and tennis that it would evolve into the much beloved football team that is today. But, with the colors of Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue adopted in 1893, this team was set for success. I am more than excited to be in charge of the grove tent this year for AOII, and I hope that y'all are just as excited as I am.
This year, the AOII Grove Tent is sure to be a place where you can come to eat, have some guaranteed fun, and hang out with your sisters! Feel free to bring family and friends by as well to join in the festivities. Another reason you should stop by the grove tent (like you really need another one, other than seeing your sisters and eating free food) is to get an awesomely amazing, new and improved AOII grove sticker!
They're the next big thing and anybody that is anyone will be wearing one. I hope to see all you lovely AOII ladies out and about in The Grove this weekend! Don't leave the house without sporting your best white attire before Labor Day and for a whiteout of the stadium, but bring along some Rebel Pride!
Don’t worry, AOII ladies, you can wear your classy cardinal red for the Vandy game on September 18th. A red-out? It’s like an AOII dream. Be sure to check back later this week for the location of the grove tent, times of operation, and a menu for the out-of-this-world snacks we will be having! I am currently looking for people to help with the grove tent, so if you're interested, please feel free to call, text, e-mail, or Facebook me with any ideas and your contact information.
